Drawn to Dream Dream groups with Jenny Smith
What will happen in the group?
Indigenous cultures have always understood the power of our dreamtime. In the west we have tended towards analysing dreams with the mind. Within this dream group, we will not be interpreting dreams, analytically. I will facilitate you to actualize or embody them in your waking life. Dreams have a great potential to bring us into balance, by bringing the unconscious into our conscious awareness. Apparently bizarre and unconnected imagery can become profoundly and deeply pertinent to our waking lives, when accessed in an embodied way. Nobody can tell you what your dreams mean, their symbolism is completely and uniquely yours. It is possible however, to gain a deeper understanding of their resonance and relationship to your conscious life, by exploring them within the confidential context of a group.
You will be encouraged to keep a dream journal and write your dreams down. In the group, after sharing your dream (within a held circle) a variety of ways to actualize them will be suggested, including exploring your personal dream symbolism through objectification, reflection and being asked questions and looking at ways to embody and make conscious the energy of your dreamtime in your waking life.
Do I need to have any experience on Dreamwork?
Equally suitable for someone who has no experience in Dreamwork, as someone who has some previous experience. It’s a small group and there’s a magical alchemy that happens when working with dreams in a group.
What if I can’t remember my dreams?
When you make the commitment to join a dream group you are likely to remember more dreams. You can also work on just a fragment of a remembered dream.
Why is it called drawn to dreams?
There’s no drawing within this dream group and no artistic skills required, although you will be set dream tasks between meetings, which may be creative (in the broadest sense of the word). Drawn to Dreams is one of a series of workshops Jenny is running that either looks at the things we are “drawn” to on an inner level, or involves collaborations between drawing and other mediums. This group is the former.
If you feel drawn to find out more, I’d love to hear from you and share this exploration of your sacred dreamspace.

My next Full Moon Circle at the Mission Hall, on Sun 12th November, the night the moon is full. We live in a fast paced world and can sometimes forget to notice the cycles of nature that are occurring around (and within) us. The moon is silently and very powerfully...
