Human touch is always important for our well-being and never more so than at this time.
Join me for a relaxing and re-juvenating one-day course in which you will learn a number of Swedish massage strokes and how to combine them to give friends and family a relaxing back, neck and shoulder Massage. Swedish Massage involves the manipulation of the body’s soft tissue (skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments) using the hands in gentle, flowing massage techniques that use varying degrees of pressure and stretching movements.
Learning a little bit more about massage strokes, how to combine them and about the muscles and bones in your body, can increase your confidence and enjoyment in giving massage and enable the recipient to have a more relaxing experience of receieving.
This will be a small group of 8 and you are welcome to come alone or with a friend or partner. You will be paired with the same person for the whole day and I ask everyone to take a LFT the day before.
All participants will both give and receive massage, having time to practice everything you are taught. When you are receiving a massage you will be covered with a towel and only asked to remove clothing around the area being massaged. Your modesty will be respected at all times. We will be working in a warm and well ventilated room throughout the day.
No previous experience of massage needed. This workshop enables you to give a massage to friends and family and is not a formal training
